One painting, many stories: The Hicksville Arizona Collection

Hicksville Arizona is an imagined place. It began in my original acrylic painting, but the full picture is only one way of exploring it.

The Hicksville Arizona Collection draws individual scenes from that painting. Taken out of the larger composition, each detail becomes a work in its own right, with its own title and a different story to suggest.

Fight in Suzie’s Nails. Don’t Take the Boat Out. Do They Have Penguins in Hicksville? The titles give you somewhere to begin, but they don’t explain everything. There’s room for humour, uncertainty and your own interpretation.

You can look at the whole painting first, then explore the individual prints. Or start with a detail that catches your attention and discover where it belongs in the larger work. Something that seems small in the original can become the centre of attention when seen on its own.

That connection is what brings the collection together: different views into the same imagined place.

The works are available as museum-quality giclée prints on archival-grade canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Choose a single piece that speaks to you, or bring several together as glimpses of the world of Hicksville.

Explore The Hicksville Arizona Collection and see which story catches your attention.
