In Autumn Furrows, I explore the quiet of the common land after the villagers have gathered the harvest and headed home. Their work is done, but its traces remain in the broken earth and the sweep of the furrows.

Burnt orange and golden yellow linger among the deep browns, with touches of blue beneath a pale, open sky. The land rests after a day of shared labour. It is that pause I wanted to capture: the villagers gone, the harvest gathered, and the fields holding the warmth of autumn.
