Two great arcs of vermilion rise from the canvas like dunes, like heat shimmer, like the chambers of something enormous and alive. Behind them, a textured sky of olive and burnt gold presses down, dense and close as a heatwave afternoon. And below, in vivid contrast, a sea of churning cerulean and white breaks forward — cool, kinetic, irresistible.
