Cab Home captures the feeling of a night in motion — colour and texture doing the heavy lifting while your eye follows a loose, rhythmic path. The composition stacks layered shapes in warm and cool tones: sunny yellows sit beside deep blues, saturated reds push forward, and small hints of black and green anchor the balance. Thin, scraped horizontal lines cross the surface, creating a tactile grid that both interrupts and connects the colour fields.

This piece was designed to be seen up close and from across the room. The textured lines add a physical presence; depending on light and angle they catch highlights and shadow differently, making the painting feel alive throughout the day.
